Show 7 Tiger league wrestling clinic ends STANDAKD-M- oy 5. 1977 Bovs in the Roosevelt area recently completed the Tiger league wrestling clinic, consisting of a six week course covering the fundamentals of wrestling. Following the training the boys competed in a wrestling competition match. Richard (Rick) Moysh. coach at Union high school instructed the boys assisted by Alan Mundun and Brett Smith. Coordinator of the program is Dennis Ercanbrack. Darren Ercanbrack won the championship for his fourth consecutive year. Repeating winners from other years were: Wade Peat mss, Steve Breakfield, Travis Peatross, Roger Young and Darren Ercanbrack. The bantam program was divided into two leagues; tiger league for grades kindergarten through third, and gorilla league for fourth through sixth grades. Winners in the tiger league Saturday were: 43 lb., Todd Moon, first grade; 44 lb.. Wade Peatross, second grade; 46 lb.. Craig Lance, kg.; 48 lbs.. Robbie Shumway. second grade; 50 lbs., Jake Ivie. first grade; 56 lb.. Shane Turner, kg; 58 lb., Steve Breakfield, second grade; 59 lb.. Jason Bullock, second grade; 61 lb., Jeff Cranney, second place; 64 lb., Kent .Bailey, third grade; 67 lb.. Brad Raff, third grade; and 73 lb.. Shane Lance, third grade. Winners in the gorilla league Saturday were: 62 lb.. Travis Peatross, fourth grade; 68 lb., Roger Young, sixth grade; 72 lb.. David Wilkinson, sixth grade; 80 lb.. Roland Ivie. fifth grade; 88 lb., Darren Ercanbrack. sixth grade; 96 lb., Rill Colbert, sixth grade; and 110 lb., Jerry I.isonbee, sixth grade. V'. forty cars will be part of the of the Prairie Dog Speedway stock car grand opening race track, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, May 7 and 8, near Roosevelt. Grand Opening of the Prarie Dog Speedway race track will be held Saturday and Sunday May 7 and 8 at the track located near Roosevelt. According to track officials seven out of town tracks will pull in for the two day event. Approximately forty cars will be s running on the consisting of an inside 'A mile track and a 38 mile outside track. Races will include a trophy dash, of five laps, heats of ten laps and main event of twenty laps. A sportsman class will make up the faster unlimited cars; a hobby class of and a regular cars with modified class with the open wheeled, cock-pi- t cars. Trials for Saturday's races will begin at 5 p.m. with races to begin at 6:15. Sundays trials will begin at 1 p.m. and races will begin at 2:15. Time trials will be run every Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. officials noted. Trophies will be given.
