Show 40STANOABD-Moy- presented an old time western skit. Students had a sing a long also. Thursday was the world of Art with 1977 5. Neola elementary school news Roosevelt Junior high presenting musical selections and the drama department put on a skit. The elementary schools art and crafts were shown and judged with three winners in each class. Rowdy Semple received the award for best effort. Mervin Glines received the grand award for art work. Friday was the world of workshops with the following available to all Festival of Arts wss held April at Neola Elementary under the direction of Marlene KiessigSrd grade teacher. Monday was the World of Danre and the students saw Indian dancing and arts and crafts display presented by West Junior high school. Tuesday was the world of music with Each grade an assembly with grades taught a song to the rest of the group and the 1st grade composed their own song 25-2- 9 students. Silver Smith, Turquoise Jewelry, presented by West junior high students. Sketching by Mrs. Mark Peterson, ceramics by Mrs. Andrews and 4th grade helpers, Leathercraft, Lee K-- . Mecham demonstrated making saddles and tooling leather. Needlecraft and breadmaking was presented by West Junior high school students who demonstrated how it was done and had tastes of bread for everyone. Cartooning was presented by Nancy Sawyer. She showed students how to draw cartoons. for this event. Wednesday was the world of literature and Neola's new singing group 'The Sunrise Singers" consisting of 30 students under the direction of Miss Anderson sang several numbers. Mark Peterson presented a dramatic reading and LaRae Stiemetz gave a model act reading. All students wrote a story and each class chose winners. The six first place winners read their stories to the studentbody.
