My multi-colore- Farwell party honors Duchesne woman A farewell party, honoring Mrs. Deanna Harriman, was held Thursday evening in the Bureau court with Mrs. Deanna Hayes and Mrs. Billie Blake as hostesses. With about 30 women attending, the evening was spent visiting, with a trio, composed of Mrs. Joyce Rhodes, Mrs. Trudy Bailey and Mrs. Laurel Ostler singing a special song for the occasion. A 'This is your Life" characterization was participated in by everyone there with the book given to Mrs. Harriman following the reading of her Duchesne activities. She was kpresented with a silver tray as a parting gift from the group. Refreshments of sherbert, wafers, coffee and punch were served at the close of the evening. Mrs. Harriman and her family are leaving for their new home in Montrose, Colo., where her husband Don is employed with the Bureau of Reclamation. Susan Oberhansly and Anthony J. Long, Myton. Joni is a student at Union and participated in the FBLA. Her plans are to continue her schooling and graduate with her class in 75. She is employed at the Standard MoteL David graduated with the class of 73, from Union and is presently employed at Arizona Fuel. Culture club holds business meeting May 22 A business meeting was held at the home of Anne Platt in Ft. Duchesne Wednesday, May 22, to choose a new vice president for the club. Newly installed president Anne Platt has been transferred to Yuma, Ariz., and will leave June 6. Club vice president Dorothy Rowley wil now assume the duties of president. Adelyn Logan was chosen to be vice president. Club members state they will miss Mrs. Platt as she has been an active and enjoyable club member. They wish her well in her new location. New members were suggested and will be contacted soon. The following committee chairmen were chosen, program Kathryn Hall and Pearl Labrum. UBIC Tea chairman, Thora Yack, Community Ellen Rawlings, Doll Improvement, chairman, Shirley Small, Sunshine chairman, Betty Mart, UBIC float, Renae Miller. All club members are urged to keep in mind July 18 an the night for the summer party at the Floyd Labrum residence. Club members desire to make this a worthwhile club year, full of fun and activity. Mr. and Mrs. Mark greeted .later Oberhansly, friends and relatives at a wedding dinner honoring the bride and groom at the Riverside Country Club Dining Room, in Provo. Entertainment was furnished by Dave Lamb, at the piano, Kriss Anderson vocalist and Don O' Hara with vocal selections. Toasts were made to the bride and groom by BYU friends Ken Norby, Kathy and Kim, Joyce Winterton, and Mary Cohharp. The traditional wedding cake was cut, and served to guests by the newlyweds. The room decor followed the same soft shades of yellow and green chosen by the bride in her choice of flowers, with daisies and yellow roses adorning the tables.
