Landscape Floral Snow was flying Upalco last week as snowmobilers from throughout the state competed in the second annual Moon Lake Snowmobile races for state point standings and local racers took home their share of trophies. Sponsored by the Moon Lake Snowmobile Association and sanctioned by the Utah Snowmobile Association and the Western Snowmobile Racing Association, races were held in thirteen classes. The first three places in each event were awarded points, that combined with points in other races in the state, will help to determine state champions. According to Dr. Dale Larsen, director races held of the races, there are throughout the state each year in which hundreds of snowmobile enthusiasts pit their machines against one another. Approximately 350 people attended the races. The next race will be held in Heber Sunday. Interested snowmobilers can sign up there.
