Persons who ordered seedlings m the past three years will automatically be sent new order forms this month. Some 450,000 seedlings of 19 differing species will be sold to Utah residents next spring. Minimum orders are for 100 trees of each species. The trees are distributed to be used for a variety of conservation and land management purposes. Mr. Bishop pointed out that plantings must be performed for reforestation, erosion control, wildlife habitat, windbreaks, Christmas tree plantations or for environmental planting purposes. The State Agency provides management assistance and advice to Utah tree growers. This aid ranges from a few words of consultation to comprehensive management plans. While admittedly it is difficult to envision planting trees with snow covering the ground, proper planning and ealry ordering are essential.
