' 11, 1983 meeting in St. George elected Nolan Red Burnett chairman and Dr. Wendell H McGarry Chairman Burnett resides in Logan and represents District Cache, and Box Elder counties. He has served on the Utah State Board of Parks and Recreation since July 1, 1977. McGarry resides in Ephraim and represents District Sevier, Piute, Wayne and Garfield counties. He has served on the Utah State Board of Parks and Recreation since July 1, 1975. Dr. McGarry, who practices dentistry in Manti, was bom in Beaver, Utah and raised in Salt Lake City. He graduated from South High School and the University of Utah. He received his Doctor of Dental Science from Kansas City Western Dental College. During World War H, Dr. McGarry served in the U.S, Army. He was a prisoner of war for three years in the Philippine Islands. He has led an active civic life serving as District Governor of the Utah Lions Club, Chairman of the Sanpete County Draft Board, Chairman of the Sanpete County Savings Bond Drive, and Commander of the Manti American Legion.
