Show Lakeside Review, Wednesday, Teachers receive student 'tokens' Dancers earn national awards LAYTON Two Layton girls competed in state and na- tional Junior Miss dancedrill competition. Alissa Hansen and Brooke Rollins both placed at the state competition which entitled them to go on to nationals where both were crowned queen in their respective age divisions. The competition was held at Gilbert High School in Meza, Ariz. There were 23 queens chosen from over 240 contestants competing in kindergarten through 10th grade categories. Alissa Hansen is the daughter of Karen and Wynn Hansen. She is a sixth grader at East Layton Elementary and has At least two schools in the Lakeside area are honoring teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week.
