He was active with the Davis County recreation program for 13 years and is now active with the Layton City recreation program. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force and is active in church programs, presently working with the young adult program. He served as district Scout leader. Goede is currently serving a position on the Layton City Council. He is a management analyst for data systems and has been involved with management planning, budgeting and computer systems for a product divsion for approximately 3,000 people for the past 17 years for the U.S. Air Force. I feel with my background working in this area of management and serving the past two years as a Layton City Councilman, has given me the knowledge and ability to make good sound decisions for the growth and managment of Layton City, he He is the district manager for the Carnation Company. He re- ceived his bachelor of science degree in business adminstration for , Weber State College. I have had six years of experience on the City Council. During the past six years I have become very knowledgeable of the operations of Layton City and the position of a councilman, he said. I know and understand the budgeting process that must take place to properly operate the city. I have been the citys representative on the NARD landfill board and currently Mayor McKenzies alternate on the burn plant board. I have worked very closely with the county commissioners on a number of issues including the library, golf course, and the burn plantlandfill. I have the time and availability to give to the position, Stevenson said. I believe that growth has to be a major concern in the city at this, time.
