Lakeside Review, Wednesday, September 9, 1987 Assembly to honor U.S. Constitution LAYTON A special assembly in honor of the bicentennial of the United States Constitution will be presented by Central Davis Junior High on Sept. 16 at 9 a.m. in the armory. The assembly, entitled Which Way in America, will be presented by a committee comprised of the faculty, the staff, and the PTA. It will begin with a flag by the CDJH cheerleaders followed by a theme song Which Way America sung by Karen Brimley Larsen, former Miss Utah and a CDJH alumni. A readers theater presentation will be offered by the drama department and the concert band will perfrom Minute Man Overture. Browning Allyson Olson LAYTON Three Layton youth were recognized by the Layton Chamber of Commerce as Students of the Month for September. They were Sarah Hansen from Layton High School, Tori Warded from Central Davis Junior High, and Allyson Olson from North Layton Junior High. Sarah is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Hansen of Lay-toShe is a senior at LHS where she is the student body historian. Throughout junior high and high school she has been on the high honor roll and maintains a 3.8 grade point average. During her junior year she participated in advanced placement history, advanced placement biology, and honors English. She is currently enrolled in advanced placement English and is a member of the National Honor Society. In junior high she was eighth-grad- e secretary and student body vice president. She received the Noal Z. Tanner second place award in ninth grade. She has served on class committees since she was in the eighth grade.
