The Davis County commission has informed the residents of Davis County that Glen Austin, county surveyor since 1962, has submitted his resignation with an effective date of March 27. Austin cited health concerns as the reason for his resignation. The commission encouraged all candidates for the surveyors position to submit their names to Ruby Price, the county Republican Party chairman, no later than March 19, 1986. Names will be considered after that date. A will be held March 19 by the Republican Central Committee to produce three candidates for consideration. , Commissioners hope a succes- -' sor can. be appointed prior to Austins resignation date.
