During the recent Rocky Mountain Drill Team Competition, the D'Ettes placed first in three different categories, qualifying them for international competition to be held in Japan. Jennifer Adams, daughter of Spence and Clytie Adams, and Kim Carver, daughter of Truman and Kathy Carver, won additional honors when the were chosen to the 4 A All State Drill Team. Last week the drill team received its official invitation from the Japanese government. There will be 16 D'Ettes among 300 girls from the United States who will attend the international meet in July of this year. The seven-da- y tour will begin on July 4.
