You have to compose the picture so the eye stays with the picture. Three years ago Hart complimented a friend on a painting hanging in his home. The painting was of the land when it was still farm land. When I walked down the street I could see some of the buildings that were in the painting. I decided I could do that too. Hart began developing his talent by painting pictures from slides taken on a trip to Israel. It doesnt matter how it turns out. I was expressing feeling I had gained that would last, he explained. Hart had never done any painting in his life until three years ago. I feel bad I didnt have any background in art, he Searches for Its Past Alumni Hill AFB The Alumni HILL AFB Committee of the Hill AFB Heritage Program is compiling a list of all former base personnel, military and civilian. To help preserve the history of Hiiis significant contributions to national defense since the beginning of World War II, all former Hill personnel are asked to contact the base to include them in the Heritage Program. Under the program a permanent museum and aerospace park has been approved for consite near struction on a the. Roy Gate. Fourteen aircraft already have been received and are being restored. He has been doing commission work for clients. Recently he completed a painting of a yard of a home in Montana for a couple who were moving and wanted to take their back yard said. I like to learn as much as I can from others, he said. He will be teaching art classes himself in a studio at his home. Although he has sold many of his paintings, a gallery of his work may be seen on the walls of the LDS Seminary building in Farmington. His painting have been hung in several art shows. By doing these paintings I can relive some of my experiences, he said. , After two years of study and preparation Hart and his wife Kathy went to Israel. Every rock meant something, I could visualize history, things I had read about came alive. Hart said he tries to capture, not only the visual sense, but even the sounds and the smell. Last month the Roy Kiwanis were officially recognized as part of the international civic organization.
