I -- , New SCHOOL BRANDON PARK Power Outages Put Roy in Dark More than 2,000 Roy ROY and Hooper residents have been in thhe dark more than usual lately due to'two electrical power outages in a four-da- y period. 'The first power loss lasted about 45 minutes for 1,500 people and more than two hours for 500 others. The second occurence lasted almost two hours, affecting 2,000 residents in the same area as the previous ; Charles Bradshaw, general line supervisor for Utah Power and Light in the Ogden area, said both incidents were caused by live wires that tripped automatic protection devices at the local substation causing loss of power. There are many reasons why wires lose their insulators. It could be things like lightning, cars hitting utility poles or kids throwing rocks or shooting at EVERY MORNING YOU WAKE UP WITH A POUNDING HEADACHE.
