Show Millard County USPS Thurs Dec 22 1988 - Sss8ssssssssswtwsmww Page 7 Delta North Elementary In The News Jackie Crawford Carl Parent volunteer Lyman Lyman attends convention LEFT TO RIGHT: Jane Ekins Analee Church and Sandra Dewsnup Three crazy ladies Working quietly and efficiently in the background of Delta High are three crazy ladies Crazy is the only way to describe their devotion to staying in high school after graduation Mrs Sandra Dewsnup has worked for Delta High for 5 years She does the secretarial work for Principal Simmons Although 90 percent of her work seems to be answering the phone Mrs Dewsnup admits she enjoys her job On a normal Wednesday for example when nothing special was going on the phone rang 106 times Mrs Jane Ekins can be found in the DHS events Two New Years Eve dances There will be two New Years Eve dances with two types of music at the IPP Activity Center Saturday December 31 The Youth Dance will be s in the gym while the Dance will be in the dining area Both dances will go from 9 to New Years Breakfast going with a Continental from 12 to am Breakfast confetti noise makers and balloons will be cluded in the S10 couple tickets $5 single The ticket will also give access to the game rooms pool tables etc pingpon shuffleboard Dance music will be for all ages 14 and up and is put on by parents and students of the Acappella Choir Andrea Nielson and Rodger Scoville being committee heads There will be lots to do besides dance so come have a fun full Happy New Years party with your friends Students help out The Sub for Santa Dance held in the Delta High Commons area Saturday night did not have as large a turnout as expected Despite a small crowd the Sub for Santa program will benefit from this activity The price of admission was two cans of food per person to bring Students were encouraged more and many did The dance was sponsored by the Student Council bookstore where she takes care of all the finances for Delta High When asked what she likes most about her job she replied “The money! No really I like the kids better than anything” This is her 2nd year at DHS Hiding in the depths of the attendance office sits the third crazy lady at DHS She is Mrs Analee Church This is her first year on the Delta High staff “It has been really interesting getting to know all of the students” she says Her job is to keep track of all attendance records She knows if you’ve been bad or good!
