80th birthday Neighbors friends and relatives are invited to come by and greet him at him home on E 200 No Delta Utah on Sat Sept 24 from 2 to 4 pm Guy H Terrell was born Sept 26 1908 to Harry F and Grace Doering Terrell He was an only son sharing the home with three sisters only one of them is still living Juanita Thomas of Utah Farmington At the age of 14 Guy was pressed into the support of his family and so left school to work for Cudahey Meat Co in Bountiful Utah Here he was in trained a his lifes profession journeyman meat packer In March 20 1929 he married Pearl in Walters the Salt Lake Temple He has resided in Delta for 25 years and is an Elder in the Delta 5th Ward He has served as a Scout Master for 3 years in Las Vegas NV and for 4 years in Fillmore Utah where he also served as Aaronic Priesthood Advisor on the stake level As a young husband and father in Salt Lake and Logan he and his wife did temple work for several years Guy was owner and operator of Utah Packing Co in Fillmore Utah from 1941 to 1949 He then purchased 60 acres in Flowell Utah and tried his He raised corn hand at farming wheat hay and fed cattle In 1962 he moved to Delta and began doing business as Terrell Meats He retired in 1985 leaving the business to his sons Max and Clark He has been a member of long standing in the Cattleman’s Asso of Utah He has donated many fine beef to 4H groups and local organizations In 1979 he and his wife celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary His hobbies of the past have been cattle feeding and chess a game at which he usually won Currently his hobbies
