Nevada nightclub, lounge opens doors sooi days. Rob Seitz, of the new nightclub, said he feels this venture will add a lot of opportunities for college students who are looking to add to their social life. The nightclub and lounge are 5,000 square feet and also feature a dance floor. Seitz said since they actually own the building, they hope to host a lot of private parties for guests and even plan on having certain theme nights, like 80s themed or Western ing and now hopefully eNVy. Seitz said he feels there is a large market and a demand for a venue like this in this location. All the way from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas there are no venues like eNVy, Seitz said. By that I mean a place where you meet singles and dance the night away. Its more than just drinking. Its to be entertained. Seitz recalls experiences visiting clubs in Salt Lake City and hearing the bartenders shout for last call around 1:15 a.m., and the experience was frustrating at times. It can feel like a forced ending, Seitz said. Seitz said that at first, he and his business partner, Tony Burnside, looked into opening a club that would be located in St. George. But as they were looking into locations, they were met with some mixed reviews. The city told us they didnt want a nightclub in St. George, Seitz said. style. We are looking forward to hosting lots of events, including talent and musicians, Seitz said. We want to cater to events and help promote that. People that live in Mesquite now live there for golf and for gam They actually banned them in 1996 and that told us flat out that they wouldnt approve one. Seitz said another concern was the strict Utah liquor laws again recalling his experience in Salt Lake City and had to come to the decision to find a new location. ENVy like the letters NV: ENVy Nevada, he said. It rolls off the tongue and it works pretty well. Unfortunately, not all DSC students will be welcome at the door for now the club is only going to be 21 and older. Seitz said the liquor license comes along with strict regulations but not to rule anything out just yet. It is a possibility in the future, Seitz said. It really comes down to what the city says, Seitz said. Seitz also mentioned some other important rules that will be in effect at all times, such as no smoking, no fighting and no drugs. Seitz said these rules are to make the fun environment safe for everyone. The club is more of a high end there is going to be a dress code, Seitz said. No hats, no sunglasses, Vegas standards, dress to impress. We want to have that classy element. Seitz said to stay tuned to the Facebook page (www.facebook.com envynevada) for opf ing date.
