The following merchants will bo showering the winner of the Annual Diaper Derby with gifts to make 1986 the best yoar ever. JANUARY 1 , 1986 CONTEST RULES The winner will be the first child born in Salt Lake County on January 1 , 1986. Time of birth entered on the birth certificate by the attending physician, along with place of birth, weight, sex, name of baby, parents name and address, will determine the winner. The newspapers will check with all Salt Lake County hospitals (University, L.D.S., Pioneer Valley, Cottonwood, St. Marks, Holy Cross, Holy Cross Jordan Valley, and Alta View). If a baby is born at a place other than those listed, both newspapers must be notified before 7:00 a.m. on January 1, 1986, in order for the child to be eligible. The doctor must register the birth immediately with the Board of Health. To eliminate any unfair advantage, babies born by Caesarean section will not be eligible.
