While that may be acceptable to some parents, a growing number are discovering the benefits of well baby group visits, including more time with the doctor and hearing from other parents that their child isn't the only one who is "difficult" But parents aren't the only ones to benefit from such an arrangement, says Dr. Lucy Osborn, associate professor of community and family medicine and pediatrics at the University of Utah. The doctor gets a break from the monotony of answering the same questions in checkup af- Thursday, 1 d y the first study showed group visits are a practical option, time-wisfor any pediatrician and that "parents really like it." The second study compared time spent with the doctor in individual exams and in group exams.
