Hurt's character. Incarcerated for sexual relations with a boy, passes the time by acting out scenes from his favorite movies. Julia's political prisoner Is disgusted with such trivial pursuits. Eventually these two strike a powerful friendship. An excellent adult movie. Rated R. Utah. "MAD MAX: BEYOND THUNDER-DOME,- " The third Installment In the Mad Max series pits the hero, once again played by Mel Gibson, against the sinister matron of a shanty town, played by Tina Turner. PRIZZI'S HONOR, With such names as John Huston (director) and Jack Nicholson and Kathleen Turner, you would think this would be one of the best films of last year. Not the case. This dark comedy Is often flat, slow and quirky. Nicholson has some witty lines, but the chemistry you would expect lust Isn't there. Rated R. Trolley Corners, "QUICKSILVER," Kevin Bacon plays a stock broker who suffers a sudden string of bad luck. Devastated financially ond personally, he retreats Into the wild world of being an urban bicycle messenger. An Interesting premise which goes undeveloped. YOUNG SHERLOCK HOLMES," Owing much more to Steven Spielberg than to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, this film speculates about what would happen hod Holmes and Watson met while schoolboys. The strong points are the young cost, the Victorian setting, and the remarkable special effects that you expect out of a Spielberg production (Barry Levinson directed). The weak point Is that It resembles so many other Spielberg movies that at times It loses Its own Identity. Sandcastle. Rated PG-1"YOUNGBLOOD, Rocky plays hockey.'
