With just two games remaining in the regular season for most Class and basketball teams, Friday night's games will include teams looking for region championships and teams looking to stay alive in the race for state tournament berths. 3-- The recent problems of the Jordan Beetdiggers and surprising success of the Murray Spartans have thrown the Region Six championship up for grabs among the four leaders with only Friday night's game to play. Jordan, loser of its last two outings, and West are curwhile the rently tied for first at Spartans and Judge Memorial are tied for third at Those four teams will represent the region in the upcoming tournament, but the seedings aren't as dear as that. 6-- 3-- West is at Judge Memorial and Jordan travels to Murray Friday night, with both games tipping off at 7:30 p.m, A Judge victory, coupled with a Murray victory, would leave all four teams sharing the league championship, while West and Jordan can trim that list to just two teams with victories. Although Provo has locked up the Region Seven title with a three-gam- e lead over its nearest rival, the stunning loss at Uintah Wednesday night by Mountain View has the rest of the region scrambling for favorable positions. The loss left Orem realone in second place with a cord, while the Bruins are now tied 3 with Timpview at 6 4 The Bruins host Orem berth. The Eagles are at Granite Friday at 3 p.m., while Cyprus is at Granite and Cottonwood is at Olympus. The Farmers would appear to have the inside track with a home game against Skyline and a Tuesday game at Cottonwood, while the Pi Friday night and travel to Timpview next Tuesday night to close out the season. The other Region Seven games Friday night are American Fork at Pleasant Grove and city rivals Provo and Timpview meeting on the Bulldogs home court. Cedar City can lock up the Region Eight title Friday night with a victory at Springville, where the Red Devils could claim a share of second place with a win.
