Show MATRON'S SAD DEATH FOLLOWS FATHER'S ' Following quickly on the untimely end of her father, former Bishop Ole N. Tuft, Mrs. Hans E. Jensen of Lawrence Law-rence was stricken by death while on the operating table at Price, where she had been taken by Dr. T. C. Hill in the hope of saving her life by means of a delicate operation. Bishop Tuft passed away under rather similar circumstances cir-cumstances only a few days before, following an operation for acute appendicitis. ap-pendicitis. Funeral services were held in the Lawrence ward chapel on Tuesday, the sad end to a very useful life hav- . ing come on Sunday. The services were attended by numerous relatives and friends from all over the county. I The speakers were Elder Henry Roper of Lawrence, Bishop D. Heber Leonard of Huntngton, and former Bishop Antone Nielson, also of Huntington. Hunt-ington. All spoke feelingly of the useful use-ful life of the deceased and of the reward re-ward she is assured of receiving in the after life, also offering words of comfort com-fort to the sorrowing husband and children and the doubly bereaved mother and brothers and sisters. Beautifu 1 solos were rendered by Mrs. Emma Fillmore and by Stone Whitmore, the Lawrence choir, joined by several singers from Huntington, also rendering several beautiful selec- I tions. The floral offerings were profuse and very beautiful and testified to the love and respect of friends. The deceased was born December 5, 1876, and was maried about 22 years ago to Hans E. Jensen, five living chil-i chil-i dren blessing the union. , The deceas-i deceas-i ed had been prominent socially and i also in various ward activities and numbers her friends by the host. The husband, two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle McArthur and Miss Ivy, three sons, Kulon, Byron, and George, the young- est about 13 years old, her mother, Mrs. Ole N. Tuft, and a number of brothers and sisters remain to mourn her loss. w. s. s. |
