Show COUNTY OFFICIALS' SALARIES ARE RAISED The 1919 and 1920 salaries of four of the county officers were given substantial sub-stantial but none the less merited boosts at last Monday's meeting of the board of county c mmissioners. the county clerk being given a $200 raise, the recorder an additional $180, the treasurer an even $100, and the sheriff an additional $200. The salary roster as now fixed follows: Commissioners, $225 each. Clerk, $1200. Recorder, $1080. Treasurer, $1000. Attorney, $720. Assessor, $700. Sheriff, $1100. Surveyor, $50. Single-Jiands working on the county roads will be paid at the rate of $3.00 a day instead of $2.50 as obtaining in the past. i Other business transacted was as follows: The matter of securing rights of way through the county' for the post road was placed in. the hands of State Road Agent Wilberg. Clerk was directed to ask the state road commission for the designation of : the site of the old railroad grade be- tween Black Hawk and Mohrland as a I state road. The same has been cleared j and is now in fairly good shape, i Orson P. Madsen appeared before , the board and asked the cooperation of the county in the purchase of arsenic ar-senic to be used in the destruction of grasshoppers, the application being acted upon favorably. Protest of Utah Fuel Company a-gainst a-gainst raise in valuation on grazing land was received and filed but no fur- thcr action was taken as the time for : entering protests had expired before : its receipt. County auditor's report was present-' present-' ed and approved and ordered published. publish-ed. Road Commissioner Mart Jensen was directed to remove rock from road in Huntington canyon.
