MAY JOIN ENGINEERS I From now until July 18 volunteers i "f skilled ability among the regist- rants of 1917 and those of this year i Til be accepted for service with the engineer corps, according to a call sent I ''Ut to local boards by Captain Fitz I Gerald. As stated, the call is open to fistrants of last month, provided 'hey waive classification and examina-tifn examina-tifn time limits,, the bulletin in full Wing as follows: The engineer corps is in need of cmain skilled men. Only white men 1'ialified for general military service may be accepted under this call. No man who Is needed to fill the July call, already announced, should be allowed al-lowed to volunteer for this service. Volunteers may be accepted from the '518 class, provided the registrant Waives all time limits for classification and examination. The following type of men are desired: de-sired: Auto repairmen, axmen. blacksmiths "atmen, bridge carpenters, cabinet makers, caulkers, concrete foremen, 'oncrcte workers, construction foremen, fore-men, quarrymen, riggers, saddlers, shoemakers, surveyors, tailors, draft-machinists, draft-machinists, buglers, photographers, Plumbers, powdermen, teamsters, tele-Phone tele-Phone operators, timbermen, topographers, topo-graphers, cooks. If a sufficient number cf volunteers re not secured, involuntary induction be used. On July 17 wire this office of-fice the number of qualified men listed 'n each of the above occupations 'hieh we may expect from your board.
