Show ORANGEVILLE , Our people are interested and rallying rally-ing to help the educational meetings I along and we feel that it will be a big j thing for us all if we Just do our part. Everyone who was out last Sunday evening enjoyed every moment of the time listening to the instructive lecture lec-ture delivered by F. W. Reid and all made new resolutions to themselves to wake up and make a mighty effort to try and learn all they can. Misses Jennie Crawford and Flora Tuttle sang a beautiful song. Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Reid gave a ' grand party in their new home last Tuesday evening In honor of the boy j scouts. Every scout was invited and all enjoyed and appreciated the invitation invita-tion of their scoutmaster, the boys, as well as their parents, feeling very grateful for his great efforts and the success he has had In the scout work. All are ready to boost and help him for it is one of the best things that could come to a young boy, keeping him just as he should be if he, with the help of his parents, will follow the instructions. in-structions. They had a very lively time, especially when all the Beehive girls invited themselves and followed them there just in time to enjoy a delicious lunch. All were welcome and found plenty of everything nice. Miss Jennie Crawford tendered Mrs. Blanche Crawford a party, the occasion occas-ion being the latter's birthday. There were a number of friends present and a good time was kad. A nice lunch was served. The Relief society has been busy this summer making quilts and have five nice ones all finished, One was sold to Mrs. W. G. Peacock and they have raffled two others off for a good sum, the lucky numbers being held by Mrs. J. B. Crawford and Mrs. Chriss Johnson. Each got a fine quilt. The Ladles Aid club met at the home of Mrs. George Fox last Monday and were royally entertained. Mrs. J. B. Crawford was elected president and Miss Rose Cox vice-president of the club. j The Primary association gave a lawn party at the A. A. Van Buren home, all taking their picnic and having hav-ing a fine time. This is a place where all love to go so well for they are al- I ways made to feel so welcome. Word has been received that some more of our boys have landed safe "over there." Leroy Luke, Ray Humphrey, Hum-phrey, Alvin Guymon, Wilford Thayne, and the two Allred boys are among the number. They are all from Camp Kearney and all have had considerable consider-able training. Miss Jennie Crawford will leave Sunday for Salt Lake where she will take a course in a business college this winter. W. 8. S. |
