Show Men From 18 to 45 to Register Next Thursday Next Thursday. September 12, has been designated by President Wilson us the day for registering the expected thirteen million men from 18 to 4 5 years who are not now registered or in the armed service of their country, coun-try, and everything is in readiness in Bmery county as elsewhere throughout through-out the nation for accomplishing another of -the "Impossibilities" so fondly cherished by Bill Kaiser. , The registering will be done by the regularly appointed election registrars in the several voting precincts, the official registrars being assisted by volunteers who may effer their services. ser-vices. The obligation is on the man who comes within the specified ages to find the registrar and be duly registered reg-istered and a heavy penalty is provided pro-vided for those- who fail to do so. Transients in the county will register regis-ter only with the local board at Castle Dale, after which the registration card may' be forwarded to their home local board. Residents of Emery county who may be temporarily away from home may register at the office of the local board in the county in which they are located and their cards may then be forwarded to this board for filing, etc. There seems to be some confusion as to the age limits but there should not be 18 to 4 5, inclusive, means just what it says, but, in other words ; if you have reached your 18th birthday birth-day before or on the day of registering you are expected to register. Likewise, Like-wise, if you have not reached vour ; 46th birthday before the day of registering regist-ering you are expected to register. This does not apply to men who are already registered under past orders they are NOT to re-register. , Utah is expected to register 58 863 men Thursday under the new regulations, regula-tions, and Emery county is supposed to have 782 men who will come within the specified ages.
