MEETING OF BOND WORKERS A meeting of all Liberty loan workers, work-ers, both men and women, of the county, coun-ty, to be held jointly with members of the County Council of Defense, is called for Sunday, September 15, at 11 a.m., in the county courthouse. All workers and members of the council are urged to be present as important im-portant plans for the conduct of the next Liberty loan campaign will be discussed. David Dennisnn of Castledale, one of the latest of our soldier boys to leave for ramp has arrived , safely in England, according to word received by his parents. It is assumed that Leo J. Jensen of Orangeville, who has been his companion since leaving the county, coun-ty, is also with him there. Mrs. Hill, the new chairman of the Mohrland Hed Cross auxiliary, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Leo Kenney and Mrs. T. B. Strauss, active mombers of the auxiliary, were in the Dale on a get-acquainted get-acquainted visit, calling on officers of the chapter and otherwise getting a lineup for future work. Thev also i brought down some finished work to included in the next outgoing shipmenc of supplies. Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Cox of l'rovo, : (former Perron residents) announce i the marriage of their daughter Lucy to Clyde Delos Gleave. The marriage j took place in Tin-son, Arizona, Aug- i ust 24, as Mr. Cleaves is in training at the University of Arizona. Mrs. 1 Gleave will remain with her husband I during his training at the university I and will spend the winter in Los Angeles. George Smith, brother to Druggist Coe, who will be remembered as presiding pre-siding behind the soda fountain at the drug store a year ago, was back last week on a brief visit to say goodbye before leaving for a mission to New Zealand. He was accompanied by his father and both left last Saturday for Salt Lake, the young man expecting to leave for his field of labor immediately immediate-ly upon his return. W- a. a. |
