Show I ACADEMY WITHIN SCOPE OF ARMY CORPS LAW From a letter just received by-Principal by-Principal Anderson of the Academy, signed "Harris, Acting Adjutant General," Gen-eral," the following summary is taken. These plans, although tentative, will probably become definite regulations. 1. High School Graduates. 8 should enter a school which has been designated by the war department de-partment as a training unit, there to take special courses of college rank to prepare themselves for special lines of technical work, ; or for officers . These will be I known as Section B men. ; 2. Boys who have not graduat-I graduat-I ed from high school should continue con-tinue at their local school. Those 18 years or over in high school ' will receive $30 per month and their clothing equipment until I their number is drawn when j their local draft board will place them wherever their ability and i the needs of the army may determine. de-termine. If they are doing satisfactory satis-factory work they will no doubt be instructed to finish their high school course. These will be known as Section A men. Negotiations are now being made with the army officials so that the Academy may be able to give instruction instruc-tion to persons subject to draft and at the same time enlist them as United States soldiers, which will entitle en-title them to $30 a month and clothing cloth-ing equipment. It must be borne in mind that this is only to men attending attend-ing their local high school. We trust, that the people of Emery county will rally to the support of their school the Emery Stake Academy. Acad-emy. It offers greater military benefits bene-fits to the boys than any other school that they could attend. No other class of men needs the moral strength nor the religious faith that is demanded de-manded of the soldier. Along with the regular academic training the Academy offers four theological courses in addition to the military privileges any other school might offer The following schedule of fall meetings have been arranged by the stake board of education. Special programs will be given along educational educa-tional lines by the faculty of the Emery Stake Academy. Members of the Btake presidency will also be present.
