Show CLEVELAND Douglas McMullen of St. George is visiting relatives and friends in Cleveland. Cleve-land. Miss Ruth Whimpey is home from Carbon County High to spend Thanksgiving, Thanks-giving, as are also the students from the E. S. A. The Young Ladies gave an excellent program Tuesday night consisting of songs and speeches, concluded with the farce, "The Spinsters' Society." A dance followed the entertainment. Today (Wednesday) is Parents day at the school. We will give a rep. it next week. A great many of our people took advantage ad-vantage of the Roundup at Huntington last week. I The farmers Of Cleveland have cause to rejoice this year over their excellent crop of . seed. . It is reported that about $30,000. 00 (eighty thousand dollars) have come into the two little towns of Cleveland Cleve-land and Elmo. So we think we deserve de-serve a prominent place on the map. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Curtis have welcomed wel-comed a girl to their home. All concerned con-cerned are doing nicely. During the noon hour last week fire was discovered on the roof of the school house, but oy quick action is was ;roujht under control before muclt damage- was done. It was caused by a spark falling on the dry shingles. On Saturday we were visited by another an-other disastrous fire, this time at the home of Edgar Ward out in the south fields. Mr. Ward had gone after wood and Mrs. Ward had gone to the store ( and returned to find their home in ash ! es. Not a thing uas Sf.ved but the things they wore and they are left in very destitute '"iroumstances as thev htd just spent their summer's crops in in repairing and furnising1 their homi and fitting up for winter.
