The forces of General Gener-al Francisco Villa are retreating from Hermosillo, leaving one thousand dead, wounded and captured, according accord-ing to official Carranza reports. Villa forces of General Jose Rodriguez Rodri-guez have broken through the cordon placed around Cananea by General Ob-regon Ob-regon and are rushing to the assistance assist-ance of Villa. The retreating Villa forces are being be-ing hotly pursued by General Dieg-uez, Dieg-uez, Carranza defender of the capital. Some of the retreating troops had reached as far north as Imuris by railroad rail-road and General Obregon has divert ed his troops attacking Cananea to the west to cut off the escape of Villa's Vil-la's men to Nogales. |
