Show CUTTING SUDAN GRASS SEED Use Ordinary Binder and Shock Like Wheat Until Well Cured Straw Worth Saving for Hay. By M. A. BEESON. Oklahoma experi ment Station.) When cutting sudan grass for seed, wait until the seed is very well matured, ma-tured, then cut with au ordinary binder and shock like wheat, until it cures well. Then it may be threshed with a regular grain threshing machine ma-chine and the straw may be used for bay. Of course, the straw does not make aa good hay as it would if the crop was cut earlier. Still it is worth saving sav-ing and stock should eat it very readily. |
