Show LAWRENCE ! .! A happy new year to every reader qf this news! : i Ruffians? No, we have none of them here. Our boys are gentlemen, as was proven during our Christmas. N i bonfires bon-fires nor shooting of guns; neither was there any pert'dTud air from te expirations expir-ations of drinkers. We hail the brightness bright-ness of this glad morning, together with the bravery of our young men. The Christmas tree and program held X nas eve terminated with great Success. Suc-cess. Old Santa came in, clad with an attire which caused us, to believe that hj lived at tne poie. The tree was beautiful to benold, and bore many spk-nulu presents. Wm. Arnold, Sr., is our new health ofheer. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Christensen spent Gnristmas witu relatives in Cleveland. . During the holidays we have nad our Academy students, Messsrs Calvin and Aluert Tuft, with us. school will resume Jan. 2, 1912. On Christmas day, at the home Ira A.Day, A.-Day, tnere was a reunion dinner. All of tnose living oi Mr. Day's family were present. Mr. and Mrs. Day and four children are those that reside in the old noma. The visiting families are as follows: Air. and Mrs. Nelson Day and three cnildren, Mr. and Mrs. Gregg McArthur ana cnild, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Ed-ward Wilson ana three children, of Lawrence; mr. and Mrs. Abraham Day and three children of Clawson, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Anderson and child of ! Richfield. All were well and in good spirits. j Christmas morning. Mrs. Alma Stak-er Stak-er was stride en with a sort ot paralysis as the writer understands. We pray for ii speedy recovery. James Brinkerhoff has returned from Price, wheie he journied to meet hi, parents who will spend the winter with us. j John Bullard is the new contractor for Lawrence and Huntington mail transportation. Summers Tuftvha3 returned from spending Christmas in Sanpete county. r Ward conference will be held here Sunday. |
