Show HUNTINGTON YGUNC LADIES DOING A FINE WORK (Special correspondence) We are pleased with the attendance at the Y. L. meetings. There is no decrease in attendance altho the Young meniJ medtingo discontinued some time ago. There were present Tuesday night 55 members and 4 visitors. The preliminary pre-liminary program was as follow j: Reading Elizabeth Mathie Piano Solo Dora Leonard Reading of the continued story viz. "The Affairs of Betty" Hetty McArthur Lecture, "The Hope of the World" Tamar Young April9,the officers arranged a surprise for the uirls in the way of an Easter social. After the usual opening exercises exer-cises we marched to the Commercial Club Hall where a dainty lunch was served, games were played and a jolly good time was had by all present. Ac 10:30 the benediction was pronounced by president Ellis Johnson. For some time past, the Superinten-dency Superinten-dency of tne S. S have felt that the officers and teachers deserved a good time. Accordingly the following committee com-mittee were chosen to arrange for the sociah -J. F. Monson, Mavd Wakefield and Hetty McArthur. The party is to be given next Saturday Satur-day evening at 8 o'clock. In excellent tim ; is anticipated. Prof .C.R.Johnson and Alva Woodward members of Prof. A. C. Lund's B Y. U Choir, sang solos at the Saturday afternoon session of the recent confer ence in tne tabernacle. The Salt Lake Tribune complimented Messrs Johnson and Woodward, and also Miss Nixon, on their excellent renditions. |
