Show England's Oldest School. A controversy has arisen In England as to which school has the right to claim greatest age. Thero are two schools which were founded In the early part of the seventh century the King's school, Rochester, and the King's school, Canterbury. Justus, on his appointment to the see of Rochester Roches-ter In 604, made provision for a school In connection with the cathedral. Augustine Au-gustine established the Canterbury school about the same time. St. Peter's Pe-ter's at York dates back to the eleventh elev-enth century- |
