Show s Food queries TIhie dleliglblts of tine 1 V Imdiaiii taMe by Bonnie Lake o Tribune Food Editor ALTHOUGH Suresh C. Shah is over 9,000 miles from where he was born and reared his wife, Beverly, Ahmedabad, India makes certain he has a generous serving of those things he treasured while living in his homeland. I Suresh loves the culture of India, Beverly said. He appreciates the slow pace the lifestyle allows. And how he enjoys the music, the dancing, the art and, of course, the marvelous food. We try to have plenty of each around. Beverly strives to accomplish what she has embroidered on a sampler in her to make our home a bit of kitchen heaven on earth by incorporating the best of Sureshs culture with the best Utah can offer. It makes a nice home situation for our children to enjoy from day to day. Michael, 10, NeQa, 8, Sterling, 7, and Jason, 9 months, seem to flourish on this right combination for a very happy childhood. SALT LAKER Beverly, was a senior in the school of elementary education at the University of Utah when she met Suresh who was working on his masters degree in 1 business. He had already received his degree in chemical engineering. "It just took one date to convince us we were made for each other. We dated steadily for about a year before we were married. Beverly taught school the first three years of their marriage while Suresh was making his way in the business world. It was when he began to sell cars that Suresh really turned on to what he wanted to do for a living. His personality and business know-hoblended perfectly for this business. Suresh recently purchased a Salt Lake car dealership. The Shahs made their first trek together to India after they had been married three years. We actually took a three-mont- h tour around the world but spent six wonderful weeks in Ahmedabad. IT WAS really kind of scary. Sureshs family wasnt thrilled about him marrying out of his culture and out of his religion. But when I went over there, his widowed mother was just darling with me.
