Show STATE FOOD INSPECTORS INVESTIGATE CONDITIONS During the forepart of the week the towns of the county have been visitors by Messrs. Willard Hansen and William Clawson of the pure food bureau. The gentlemen made a similar visit with us lasc year and during that visit found one or two instances of conditions that had to be consideraoly changed. A small quantity of canned stuff was thrown out and a few warnings given. These were generally heeded though in the case of a local store, no attention had been paid to the command that a crack in the counter of the grocery department be repaired and formal action ac-tion was taken agd'mn the store on this trip. These gentlemen mean business and where attention is not given their suggestions, the hand of the law joins in the game. Conditions, howeve. in the big majority maj-ority of cases were ideal none better being found in the state, and it is thought that the customers themselves are beingeducated to demand just what they are entitled to in the way of sanitary sani-tary conditions on every hand. One particular thing the gentlemen were pleased with, was the large a-mount a-mount of Utah products carried in stock by almostall the stores, showing that the people are here, too, being filled with a patriotic regard for the wholesomeness of the home manufactered product. |
