Show Courage to Cull. It takes some courage to cull closely, close-ly, but It should be done. Never keep for breeding a fowl almost good enough with those good enough, without with-out the qualifying "almost." One will be able to breed fully as many inferior chickens as he desires. The flock is the place for the "almoets." One has offered to him two cockerels one a good bird for $D, the other a superior bird for $25. The difference in price is $20, and looks like a. considerable consid-erable sum. But if the male sires 200 chickens they will cost but ten cents each additional from the best male and will be worth well, several times ten cents each additional. |
