Show DISTRICT COURT SITS MONDAY, JUNE IOTH The May session of the Seventh district dis-trict court convenes at Castledale on Monday, June 10th. There are few cases that are expected expect-ed to take very long for disposition, so that it is likely that the term will be a short one. There are but two cases on the criminal crim-inal calendar but they are of consider-adle consider-adle moment. The first, the appeal case of Paul Judd from the local justice court is but one of a series that have shown up on the calendar every so often. of-ten. The offense dates from the time of the last session of court when a conviction con-viction on the charge of drunkeness was secured and a fine imposed. On recommendation of Attorney King the case was appealed and bonds immedia-tly immedia-tly furnished by Mr. Judd's friends. The second case is one involving a most heinous charge, and it is understood under-stood that the state has a very good case against the defendant, Frank Randall, Ran-dall, of Woodside, near where the offense of-fense was commited. Among the civil cases appears the case of Franklin Spencer, vs. James Peterson, a:tion for damages. This ctse has been or. the calendar two or three years and it is very likely it wiil be disposed of this time. A jury trial was demanded for this case last term and the jury secured, but through the illness of some of the witnesses for the defense.a postponement was necessary. It is so long since the accident resulting result-ing in this cause occurred, that the case becomes more complicated each time. The defendant is accused of negligence in not having the stairways leading to the former Peterson dance hill properly railed, thereby being to biame for the fall of the Dlaintiff ". bul Mr. Peterson has a very different story to tell. It is claimed that the staircase used in his exit was not supposed to be in use bung ' securely obstructed a. both top and bottom, and that the plaintiff was under the influence of liquor at the time of the accident. K;ng and King are attorneys for the plaintiff and District Attorney Woods will act in that capacity for the defen dant. Criminal Cases Castle Dale Town, Plaintiff, vs. Paul Judd, Defendent.
