WEDNESDAY APRIL 5, 2000 Roads continue to be documented By Carol Sullivan We want you and the public to know we are a resource committee, said Truman Lynch as he presented maps to Commission Chairman Norm Carroll at the March 27, 2000, Kane County Commission meeting. Lynch, PFUSA, said the maps are part of a kit for Carroll to help with the documentation and verification of roads on his land. This is the first joint project with the Commission. We hope other landowners will follow so that jointly all roads are documented. The 4 Wheel Club will help. Carroll responded, This will be a benefit with these new Wilderness proposals. Many of the roads are not in the Monument area. Terrill Honey, PFUSA, said they feel good about Senate Bill 249 and the state plan. Commissioner Judd said they are pleased the bill passed. Kane County is involved with the Utah Association of Counties' litigation, challenging the establishment of the Monument, and has been from the onset. Honey said that the PFUSA are receiving donations from outside the Kane County area.
