Charlene Miles hit the game winning shot with 20 seconds left in the game and Kanab won The first game of the day was The quarter-fina- l matchup Lincoln led Kanab with Cedar was Nevada, against County, City. Kanab won 47 to 32. Kanab was most ofthe game in another close led by Tasha Larsen who scored contest. Sarah Cooper had seven 18 and "had six assists and five points, Charlene Miles eight, steals. Sarah Cooper had 14 Tasha Larsen 13, Stephanie points and 12 rebounds, Brinkerhoff two and Ramie Stephanie Brinkerhoff scored Linton two. Kanab prevailed nine, Charlene Miles four, and 32-2Lisa Chavez two. The championship game featured Kanab and Snow Canyon, Wanna play ball? Judo 4PM ): The Kanab 7th and 8th grade girls basketball team took sec- ond place in the Border League Tournament at Snow Canypn School. The tournament 10 had teams from Utah, Ari- zona and Nevada. Kanab had a great day, winning three games before losing the championship game in double overtime to Snow Canyon. Only eight girls made the trip and played hard in four games and represented Kanab - After 6 p.m. Chandler Cutler 644-566- 3 -- Home S99-127- 2 Cellphone a team Kanab had beaten the previous week. It turned out to be a defensive battle as neither team scored much in the first half. Snow Canyon led the entire game until Tasha Larsen hit a baseline jumper with 14 seconds left to send the game into overtime. At the end of the first overtime, Kanab was down three with the ball. Sarah Cooper shot a three, got her own rebound and passed to Tasha Larsen who hit the three pointer to send the game into double overtime. In the second OT, Snow Canyon pulled off the win, with the final score Snow Canyon 30, Kanab 28. Tasha Larsen had 13 points, Charlene Miles eight and Sarah Cooper lead to lead Kanab.
