Home of the Week Perkins takes 1st at Top Hands 96 competition The Commercial Vehicle Division of the Utah Highway Patrol staged a competition called Top Hands 96 on March 26-2- 8 in St. George. Twenty six officers from all parts of Utah participated in three areas of competition: Hazardous Material, Equipment, and Driver. In each ofthese areas the officers were presented with a scenario and then given a written test. Officer Keith Perkins from Kanab took first place honors in the Driver area, which involves checking for logbook violations to determine ifthe driver should be put out of service and checking commercial drivers licenses and regulations. Perkins received a plaque on March 28 at an honors banquet. KCR Board Election OK OlO The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime, does not mean he is guilty.
