Costuming will play a major part in the 1996 Centennial celebration in Kane County. Be- :w - ' .'.4krjr.y '' v' 50th Anniversary celebration LaMar (Smokey) and Dorothy DeMille celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 31. An open house will be given by their children, LaVee Roundy, Gene DeMille and Peggy McDonald. Everyone is invited to come and share their happiness on Saturday, November 4, from 6-- 8 p.m. at the Orderville LDS Cultural Hall. No gifts please. Orderville Goins On By Twila Cox Blair and Cheryl Bently and girls of St. George visited at the Clark and Florene Lamb home.. Lewis and Sara Cox and boys of Lehi visited the weekend with Allen and Twila Cox. Sara got her deer at Alton. Lynn and Shelly Sorensen and girls of Mountain Home, Utah, visited at the Dale and Margaret Sorensen home for the weekend to hunt. Daniel and Amy Esplin and children of St. George visited at ginning with the February 10 Sweetheart Dance, Centennial committee members will dress in 1890s period clothing and members encourage the community to dress in centennial attire as well. There will be a fashion show during the dance intermission which will feature ideas on making costumes. The intent for the new wardrobe is to wear the period clothing to all the Centennial events, especially the Centennial Ball which is scheduled for Saturday, May 11. At the Sweetheart Dance, dress makers have been assigned and will be available to. take .cosorders, for. custom-mad- e tumes or for making simple adjustments by remodeling existing clothes. Just as dressing in costumes adds to the fun of Halloween, dressing in 1890s clothing will add to the excitement of all the Centennial activities which are slated every month throughout the Larry and Janice Esplin home. Greg Tait and friend of northern Utah visited Rena Tait and camped for the hunt weekend. Sharlene Rowley and daughter of Cedar City visited with Voi and Farel Sorensen for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. James Jackson of St. George brought Vilate Esplin home to visit. Vilate has been living with her daughter, Mrs. Wyn Turek of Washington. Also visiting at the Cleve and Larene Esplin home were their 1996.
