HandeYsIsraelinEgypt on Sunday, April 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Kanab High School auditorium. Tony Chatterley will be the narrator. The oratorio is based on The Book of Exodus chapters one through fifteen. The beginning songs tell of the new Egyptian King deciding to put the Israelites into bondage to build cities, make bricks, and work in the fields causing the Israelites to cry to God to be released from their slavery. The oratorio continues by telling of the plagues God sent upon the land of Egypt because Pharaoh refused to release the Israelites. The pampers worked, bringing instant protection. Now matters were getting out of control, the lamb had decided that after feedings he would lay on my lap and snooze for an hour or so! Then the big day out in the city. I took my pampered lamb and headed for the mere. I had gathered him under one arm when a vanload of excited Frenchmen bombarded me. For a moment, there I was rather flattered until they began yelling, Lammba! Lammba! The large one of the group suddenly leaned down and kissed my sheep. Can you believe, he actually kissed my sheep? Thanks a lot, Bruce Bunting. My lamb is still alive and well, we are still up with night feedings, and now I get to worry about some weirdo, giving my sheep some contaminating illness.
