Show SOUTHERN UTAH NEWS Opinion 4 WEDNESDAY APRIL 5, 1995 Dixie Speaks Something unusual happened in Kanab. Two local government entities sat down and had a rational conversation together...and got along! The Kane County Commission and Kanab City Council met last week. While both governing bodies had discussed the possibility of meeting for some time, someone persevered and made the plan a reality. The meeting was a good one. There was a lot of discussion about development plans and obstacles. There was some talk about joint projects, land exchanges, and cooperative lobbying efforts. We applaud both bodies for the joint meeting. It makes good common sense to see two governing bodies that have so much impact on each other, work together for the good of the community. We hope that the Commission and Council will schedule periodic meetings, and make a commitment to futher unity. What is your opinion?
