Reports a re that ga rdens have been slow to grow and mature this summer season. Thankfully 'the days of heat and drought have been interrupted with recent days of rain and cooler weather, and it seems the local gardens have begun to come alive with renewed vigor. Market organizers are still waiting for the first tomatoes to arrive at the Saturday morning market. The strong turnout was happily received by the friendly vendors and the market organizers. Garden produce was available in good quantities and variety and, like every other week, they were sold out early in the day. While the Levangars from Orderville sold a pickup load of corn, squash and assorted fruits and vegetables, other gardeners who had much less to sell were equally appreciated by market visitors. Tbe visitors were en- tertained by Canyon Coffee. just show up the day of the marIn addition to the fresh gar- ket with produce, crafts or artden produce, buyers continued work.
