These funds are being provided by the United States Department of Housing end Urban Development (HUD) under Title I of the Housing and Community Devalopmant Act of 1974, as amended, to be used to carry out one of three broad national objectives of benefit to low and moderate Income families, aid In the prevention or elimination of slums or blight, or designed to meet other community development needs having a particular urgency. The home will be inspected to determine the scope of work and an approximate cost (up to S1500 tor home owners per repair and up to S500 tor ranters). The application will then be reviewed by the Loan or Grant Approval Committee. The committee is comprised ot a member of the Community Development Division, the Finance Division and the Grants Division. Upon approval, work will be awarded by the Housing Authority to appropriate contractor. Upon completion of the , work, an inspector will inspect for quality and completeness. Contractors will submit Invoices for reimbursement once work has passed inspection.
