Show Thursday, March THE GREEN SHEET 6B 19, 1987 Comedy Pleases Granger Audience rUM ; Their enthusiasm and were believable and fun. by Olga Milius Green Sheet Theater Critic GRANGER. The Cornelia Otis Skinner comedy Our Hearts Were Young And Gay was a hit Monday at Granger high. The story of two American girls on their first trip alone, to Paris, is a real period piece and extremely funny to modern audiences. Brenda Park and her cast did a good job of building from one humorous sequence to the next. The sets, designed by Peggy Carlson with carpentry by Vern Miller, were attractive and easily changed, with a believable shipboard cabin, and a delightful French Green Sheet light-hearte- d apartment. Jennifer Erekson as Cornelia and Jennifer Finlayson as her friend Emily Kimbrough were well cast and handled their roles well. Lancers MANNERS WEEK . . . Truman elementary is sponsoring a manners project this week, with the entire student body learning about manners. Here, Adam Smith helps Jenny Lambert be seated. Continued from page 2 Seems as though Gurt is a little bit ticked off at the Junior Prom scenario. Here is the scene; Lance accidentally picked up the wrong corsage. He did not know that the one he picked up by mistake was a couple of days old. Therefore, it was not his fault when the corsage died before the dance even started. Right? This is the entire reason that Gurt is ticked off at Lance. Lately she has had a hard time even looking at Lance with a pleasant expression on her face. She cannot find it in herself to even give him the time of day (he is always late for class ) Lance, on the other hand, has been stumped. He has tried to figure out the problem. Tracking back he seems to recall the time when he totally ignored a conversation the two were having. In fact, it was about the drill team tryouts. Gurt was planning on trying out for the drill team. The workshop were coming up and Gurt wanted to be ready. March 19, 20, 23 and 24 are set aside for workshops and the big day of tryouts is planned for March 25. Gurt was very excited about the whole idea and continued to babble on about it. Lance fell asleep, i Understandable that Gurt would be upset with Lance?) To make matters worse for Lance, he does not even have a date for the Sadie Hawkins dance Friday. Gurt decided to teach Lance a lesson by asking someone else. Set him straight she did. Now Lance has all night Friday to think up The Plan, to get Gurt back. In the meantime, Gurt will be dancing the night away with4he " - 'umystery man. Who is this man. Gurt asked to Sadie Hawkins? Where did she meet him? Is the relationship serious? What about the reasons for dumping on poor, helpless Lance? Is there really another man? Did Gurt believe the awful rumors about Lance taking out other girls? Or is it just that the relationship is getting to be a bit much? The answers to these questions and many, many more, all on the next episode of As the Classroom Spins." Did you ever wonder, or even hope that the classroom would finally stop spinning? Do not consider yourself so lucky, folks. You still have at least five more episodes left. Pretty suspenseful huh? Sort of like or Dynasty Dallas maybe? Okay, okay, maybe not Dallas, but definitely Dynasty. . At Truman - Good Manners Make The Grade GRANGER. Take time for good is the theme this week at Truman elementary.
