In this family its the daughter-in-lawho succeeds in turning everyone in the family against each other, she added. Mrs. Hales comments concerned Love is for the Byrds, the latest theater offering produced by the Hale Center Theater, Originally scheduled to debut New Years Eve, ticket sales have been so phenominal a second New Years Eve show was added last week. Both shows are currently sold out, she noted, but it has been decided to open the play even earlier, with 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29 currently slated for opening night. The cast invitational production scheduled Tuesday, Dec. 30. Its a barrel of laughs you wont want to miss, she said of the script. Lanis messes up a marriage, the family business and turns friends into foes. But grandma, whos off her rocker, is still on the right track as she sees right through her. Love is for the Byrds is being directed by Mrs. Hale, who says the show has been one of her favorite plays for some time. Not only is she directing, but she will also play the less than sane grandmother in the production. Its one of my favorite roles because I get to let my true personality come through, she noted. Ann Madsen, a newcome to the Hale stage, is cast as the coniving Mark Dietlein and daughter-in-law- . Darren Nord double as her husband. Both actors have been featured in several Hale productions including Clouds of Glory, The Other Side of Love, Five on a Honeymoon and A Christmas Carol. Street 31 Nickel: sym. Type of horse: pi. The brothers themselves are a highly diversified group in this production and the director had talent enough to make that work for them. The audience loved the little touches that stressed those differences. Yoshidas coolie hat when the others were western; Maxwells Carmen Miranda outfit in the calypso number and the varied greetings when they finally recognize Joseph were priceless. C0LD1WEATHERICL0THING And dont ask me to choose a favorite, I loved every one of them. Their singing, dancing, facial and body expression didnt miss a beat. Duane Stephens as Pharoah brought the house down with his Elvis-typ- e number, always a highlight in this show. The rest of the cast also handled their roles with aplomb. Stewart gave us an excellent Potiphar and Jayne Swensen was slinky and flirty as his wife. The butler and baker, played by Lunt and Jewett, were delightful, and Lindsay Bennion was a suitable Jacob. The music, of course, makes this show live. Numbers like One More Angel In Heaven Josephs Dreams and the Benjamin Calypso give the Green Sheet 3 oz. Insulated Review Coveralls 2430, Brown Duck 4 oz. Her choreography is delightful, and the City Rep cast, all of whom appeared in the companys previous Symphony Hall productions, are a talented group. The theater itself is, of course, small. Seating Thursday was on chairs, set on the risers, with an apology in the program explaining regular seating had not yet arrived. That was okay, the chairs were not uncomfortable and the show good enough to make any kind of seating acceptable. The impeccable diction this company gives an audience was a big asset. You miss a lot when you dont get all the words in this show, and there is no danger of missing them with this cast. So, if you want a fun evening, go for City Reps Joseph.
