Show - HH- w In Halls At KHS - Vt t " w KEARNS. Members of the VICA at Kearns high took first place with their entry in the schools annual Christmas Tree Lane contest. Club members created their own tree out of wood; cut, carved and varnished. They decorated it with a series of sequential lights, battery operated, and pictures of club members in uniform. The entry also received the award for originality. Second place was awarded the special education department, with an entry decorated with hand-mad- e paper fans and roses. Students were taught to make the decorative features by ethnic students, said Elaine Burrows, COPE director. Members of the photography club came in third with an entry using photographs of Kearns students in action as decorations. A total of 17 clubs and organizations entered the contest, said Mrs. Burrows, making one of the best displays in several years.
