Clean fresh rooms . . . They're like a refreshing draught to me, after Linda has left them bright, shiny, and with fresh flowers on the tables. A cake of soap when first unwrapped. Such a wonderful aroma that I even tuck the wrapper with my linens not wanting to waste one breath of it. The sun sparkling on crystals at my window, making thousands of rainbows on my table, ceiling and walls. Terrific. Drying my hair in the sun. A tall iced drink sipped while enscon-i- ; ced in a shady nook on a hot summer day. Donning my favorite terry cloth robe and cuddling up with a book before a crackling fire on a cold winter day. Joy I A child running toward me with arms outstretched, waiting for me to hold him close in my arms. My grown sons reaching out to touch my cheek with their lips. Worth more than money in the bank. The view from my kitchen window never fails to enchant me, no matter what time of year or day. knew those open acres for years . as pastureland and AW and I often roamed them before we One of my fondest memories is of a cold winter when snow and wind had bridged the creek and we could walk high over the moving old J R and his uncle Jake water. The two of us, with our four-yea- r prowled and played there for hours. Those acres are now the Mick Riley golf course, so I am no longer free to roam there, but the view, though different, is beautiful and is like elixer to my soul. Small pleasures, costing not one cent. A leisurely perfumed bath while strains of centuries-olHindu chants fill the air with their haunting strains. Heavenly. Walking in my own yard at midnight dressed only in my night shift so I can marvel at the world by moonlight and feel God s air on my skin. Meeting with people each month to meditate and sing God's praises at the new moon. I m enraptured and feel sorry for all the poor people who or indoors watching TV, never knowing what wonders they're missing. love hotels. Right next to it as a favorite is the Palace in 'San Fran' and is of the same fin de siecle vintage. One night we strolled downstairs' and stumbled upon an Oriental wedding, so we slipped to one side and watched. Never, never, never have I seen such satin, silk, furs and ewels. And those exquisite ladies! All ages, each with a perfect toilette and with such 'presence', one knew in a moment that only immense wealth o'er many generations could flower in such beauty and assurance. I can still close my eyes and see those women, escorted by impassive, tuxedoed men, walking by like porcelain dolls. Ah . . . another world, another world. Yes, life's small pleasures. And . . . never forget that the greatest physical and emotional pleasure of all, is love. And if you thought for a moment I'd forget that one, you don't know me.
