THE DANCE will be held at the Layton Stake Center at 60 W. Gordon Ave. in Layton. There will be a dance clinic at 7 p.m. and the dance will begin at 8 p.m. and end at 11:30. There will be a dance contest with albums for winners. Jon Carter from KRSP will be doing the music. The dance is on Saturday June 26. FIRESIDE WILL be on the 27 at 7 p.m. at the Oakhills Chapel which is located at the intersection of Gentile and Oakhills in Layton. The speaker will be John M.R. Covey. Counselor Hodges is an electrical engineer, and employed at Hill Air Force Base and Counselor Cook is currently principal at Clearfield High School and has been in the school teaching field all of his adult life, vsb Harold Bennett underwent major surgery last week at the Davis North Medical Center. Mr. and Mrs. Dale R. Hilton and three children arrived T uesday , June 8 from Okinawa where they were stationed for the past two years with the Air Force. Mrs. Hilton is the former Ann Umpleby. They will be visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William H. Umpleby and family and with friends prior to being stationed on their next assignment at Mather Air Force Base, Sacramento, Calif. Chester and Anne Call attended two dog shows in Colorado, one at Longmont, Colo, and the other one held at Lakewood, Colo. Their champion Chihuahua, Delightful Design took first place in the Toy Group both days. Delightful Design is number one Chihuahua in the United States. Mr. and Mrs. Morris Johnson and their children. Dr. and Mrs. John Steiner and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Cogswell, all. of Kaysville, traveled to Rexburg, Ida. to be with Dr. and Mrs. Dan Johnson for the blessing and naming of their son who was named David Olsen Johnson on Sunday. Following the meeting, Dr. and Mrs. Dan Johnson entertained at a family buffet dinner at their home. Other guests included his brother, Dr. and Mrs. Ray Johnson and family of Idaho Falls, Ida. Mrs. Dorothy Marx went to Hood River, Ore., to spend a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Parsons. Her father is seriously ill. Mr. and Mrs. Joe F. Preece, Mr. and Mrs. Russell W. Buhler of Kaysville and Mrs. Doris Hensler of Salt Lake City attended the funeral service of their uncle, Morris Buhler held in Midway on Wednesday, June 9. Hammeren Graduates Forrest D. Hammeren has graduated from Basic Training from Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, during May. HE IS now training at Kees-le- r Air Force Base, Mississippi for Air Traffic Controller for a course. Airman Assigned Airman Gregory Brighton, son of Homer and Delores Brighton of 2165 N. 250 W., Sunset, has been assigned to Lowry Air Force Base, Colo., after completing Air Force basic training. THE AIRMAN will now receive specialized instruction in the supply field. His wife, Jean, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Summers of 3200 N. 325 W., Ogden. DURING THE past six weeks at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special training in hu-- i man relations. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force.
